Kay Jay Olson is a music instructor, dance teacher, composer, and performer living in Minneapolis. They teach piano, voice, ukulele, saxophone, beginner guitar, and digital music/composition. They have composed music for choir, theatre, and instrumental underscore, as well as several albums of personal music.

Their most recent composition, Inner Demons: The Musical, is officially getting its first performance! Past Twin Cities productions include The Awakening of Spring with Feral Theatre Company, Consumed with Playable Artworks, and Heathers: The Musical with Twin Cities Community Theatre. In addition to their performance and composition life, Kay Jay loves cooking and exploring spooky spots around the Midwest.

They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Musical theatre Performance from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, an honors certificate in Theatre Performance from the Theatre Lab School of Dramatic Arts Honors Conservatory (Washington D.C.), and recently completed a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Music and Teaching Artistry at Augsburg University in Minneapolis.
